KAL® Lecithin easy-to-swallow softgels typically supply 180 mg Phosphatidyl Choline, 144 mg Phosphatidyl Ethanolamine & 108 mg Phosphatidyl Inositol and contain an average 61% Phosphatides found naturally in all plants and animals. Lecithin typically contains a high percentage of naturally occurring linoleic acid, with lesser amounts of palmitic, oliec, stearic, linolenic and other fatty acids, choline, inositol and phosphorus. These substances are present together in the form of phosphatides (or phospholipids). The phosphatides are insoulble in acetone. Lecithin is defined as acetone insoluble soy phosphatides. Any liquid lecithin product can be analyzed for actual licithin content through an acetone solubility test. Regional differences in soil and growing conditions affect lecithin content among soy crops.
